Its heart shape and bright red colour makes it an ideal symbol of love and romance – and rightfully so, it was the symbol for Venus, the Goddess of Love.


Strawberries, the *romantic and happy fruit* also helps with the production of endorphins – the happy chemical you need. At just 100g, strawberries will provide you with approximately twice your daily allowance of vitamin C. It’s also a wonderful antioxidant and low in calories – a cup of this beautiful fruit only has 55 calories.

Strawberry season (in Australia) is from May to October. We’re in full swing of the season now which is why you’ll see a punnet going for as little as 99 cents! Fresh, (not too tart,) sweet and full of goodness, strawberries are surely the fruit to have at the moment.
